Excursions on Tenerife

Tenerife is the largest of the Canary Islands and offers many great destinations for day trips. There are so many available that we can only mention a few.

A must is a tour to Mont Teide. Fit people can climb the mountain on foot (at over 12000 ft it is Spain's highest mountain) but most will take the cable car.

Equally well worth seeing are the old buildings and squares in the centre of Santa Cruz. It is probably best to go on a Sunday when you can also visit the huge fleamarket.

Heading north towards Puerto de la Cruz you should visit the Loro Parque - perhaps the largest visitor attraction in Tenerife.

Finally, at Easter time go and see the Passion Plays at nearby Adeje.
